Position Summary

This position reports to the Client Banking Supervisor.

This is an entry-level Treasury position. The Treasury Analyst performs daily cash reconciliation, credit card balancing, daily and weekly transfers, end of the month client reporting, research, filing, assist with audits and other special projects.

Essential Functions

  • Monitoring daily bank activity: Check/ analyze daily bank movements including: Deposits, wires, Credit Cards, Lock Box, etc. Update specific reports to be sent to different customers and /or for internal control.
  • Complete accurate and timely daily cash reconciliation against clients' reports.
  • Identify and research of all discrepancies in daily reconciliation.
  • Follow up on the resolution of all discrepancies with the appropriate internal and / or external departments (Client's departments).
  • Perform and reconcile daily, weekly, by-weekly and/or monthly transfers for Clients.
  • Perform wire transfers between bank accounts for deposit corrections.
  • Bank reconciliations to be completed by the deadline established by the different clients.
  • Month end reporting to be prepared for Clients.
  • Borrowing Base reports to be completed the 1st day of every month.
  • Download data needed from electronic banking for accounting purposes: daily and monthly.
  • Direct communication (through emails, phone calls) in English and Spanish with assigned clients, interchanging timely and accurate information with them.
  • Assist with yearly audits: research and compile information.
  • Assist with other projects as needed.
  • All other duties and projects as assigned by management.

Work Environment

The work for this position is conducted in an office environment.  The noise level in this environment is usually moderate.  Travel will be required to receive training, attend meetings and develop relationships with other professionals.  Evenings and weekend work may be required based upon the workload.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bilingual: conversational and written English-Spanish (80%).
  • High school diploma or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Incumbent must be able to multi-task, be organized, able to set up priorities, meet deadlines, team work and take pride in one's work Ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, etc).
  • Proven ability to identify and summarize important information, attention to detail, and keep management informed.
  • This position requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to approach and interact with all levels of personnel.
  • This position requires good written, oral and reading communication skills in order for the incumbent to accurately obtain interpret and transcribe a variety of communications and instructions.
  • Incumbent must be able to multi-task, be organized, able to set up priorities and meet deadlines and take pride in one's work.

 

Minimum Experience: 

  • Minimum 2-3 years professional accounting experience.
